The Blind Rabbit is hands-down the best cocktail bar in the Anaheim Packing District in my opinion, but you’ll need reservations and it’s a very small, intimate space. White Elephant ― New to the Packing House as of September 2020 with a delicious take on Thai food. Be sure to give them a warm Anaheim welcome during your next visit. PARKING & DIRECTIONS
This food hall contains a one-stop sampling of the diverse population, fresh produce, and world-class culinary talents that make Southern California one of the best places to eat in the world. Packing House can get crowded, especially on weekends, with not a single spot in their lot, but it is a teeny tiny lot, and there are plenty of other places to park! Visit their website for further details on events, parking, hours, and an up to date list of restaurants. With 42,000 square feet, the Packing House features over 25 unique places to dine, including a speakeasy. One of my favorite places to eat at is Georgia’s, with spectacular southern food, including the best chili mac & cheese I’ve ever had. I’m not normally a thin crust kind of girl, but I am a fan of Ecco for sure.
Directions from Disneyland / Convention Center:
If you just want a snack, nibble on kibbe ($3) fried in a football shape, or borek ($5) which is feta-like cheese wrapped in dough and fried. Spice things up with the signature aleppo pepper condiment or add richness to any dish with the silky, ivory colored tahini sauce. Take-out is available for many restaurants, plus many restaurants offer delivery through FRAN within the CtrCity service area. At the photo-op-magnet Rescue 911, kids can try on real firefighter's helmets and jackets, board little vehicles and then respond to silly-style emergency calls from the dispatcher.

If you're looking to ship electronics, artwork, antiques or luggage. (Pitch black. Seriously. I don’t think that Rabbit was blind when he started working here.) Rummage sale furnishings and an analog soundtrack of jazzy vocals by Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James and Nina Simone. The Blind Rabbit has always been a go-to for fashion-forward cocktails in hip surroundings. Relative newcomer Mangal, which arrived two years ago, quickly established its own following. It’s the fast casual version of big sister restaurant Aleppo’s Kitchen which was voted one of the best places to eat near Disneyland by Food & Wine magazine in 2017.
Both floors of the Packing House are, well, packed with food vendors, ranging from deserts to more upscale restaurants. The Packing House’s 20 sustainable vendors are spread across the two floors of the building, and even include a shop by the door on the second floor, in case you want to get something other than food. The art throughout the building even pays homage to the past replicating old citrus labels.

Electra left in 1968 and it wasn’t until 2009 when the city of Anaheim decided to really start to re-invest in its downtown, which, wasn’t, and still isn’t much. As the downtown core began to fade in the late 1960s, nearly all of the buildings met the wrecking back in the late 1970s. With awful 1980s post-modern in place of what was once a quaint, classic old downtown.
The Anaheim Packing House is located at 440 S. Anaheim Blvd, Anaheim, CA 92805.
Paired with a bowl of hot creamy tomato soup, and you’ll be rocking your childhood favorite with a grown-up palate. In the 1980s, a growing number of people from Middle Eastern and North African countries settled in sunny Anaheim. Today they operate stores and eateries, many clustered in West Anaheim. This is the place to go for the enticing cuisines of Lebanon, Morocco, and Saudi Arabia—as well as Armenia—often at very affordable prices. Next door is the Packard Building, built in 1925 as a showroom for luxury cars. Today, it houses foodie-favorite Umami Burger (check out the license plate chandelier) and Anaheim Brewery, the re-imagining of a brewery closed during Prohibition (don’t miss the bar salvaged from an old saloon nearby).
